Wow, right now, everyone is really close to eachother. Well, just ignore me. I mean, look at these karma rankings:

This matchup was pretty much fated to happen. Dating back to the old interguild, long before the real karma system was made, I made a "Graph of Greatness", depicting the greatness of our mods and such. Dando and CSD started at above 100%, CSD above Dando. Dando's greatness was rising faster than CSD's, but then he became a mod and uncensored the word "crap", which skyrocketed his greatness out of the graph.

It appears as though the same thing is bound to happen here. A few days ago, dando was down with Livio, shos and Isa, but then her snowflake walkthrough lifted to her within striking distance, and eventually she managed to catch CSD, but soon, we will see CSD pulling away from Dando

4) Livio -- Karma: 24

6) Isa -- Karma: 22

Livio started out pretty slow, hanging around in the negatives for a while, but he's finally decided to join us here in the positives, and now is tied for number 4 on the list. However, we all know that this will not last. Even though Shos isn't going to be here until august or something, Livio is bound to make quite a bit of bad posts, bumping his karma down to the single digits, or possibly even the negatives. You can Expect Isa to move into 4th place with ease.

7) dando52 -- Karma: 16
8) krotomo -- Karma: 16

Kroto's karma has been rising for quite a while, since making the hatpc quiz. luckily for him, the hatpc quiz shutting down didn't mean that his karma was going to shut down. Recently, he took a 16-15 lead on the D52, but that was a short-lived lead, as Dando52 regained her composure and tied him. Things are not looking good for kroto; He is facing the almighty D52, so the best he can hope for is 7th place, sadly


9) jebby -- Karma: 12
10) Yaya -- Karma: 12

Despite Yaya being possibly the coolest active non-mod, he doesn't make as many cool posts nowadays. And well, Jebby just got started, so it's not looking good for him

But at least he'll be ahead of Accel.

EPIC FAIL.

Anyways, as expected, CSD's karma is getting closer and closer to that infinity mark.

It's still a little early to finalize the results, but I thought I might update you guys.





As you can see, the Dando vs. CSD battle is over; CSD's RoDB walkthrough skyrocketed his karma, and eventually went on to take a 2 karma lead in the interguild, with him 48, Quirvy 46.

Recently, though, he has lost his lead, but this event may be shortlived; he is CSD after all.

But, yeah, I finally get to compete for first place with someone else. BRING IT ON, CSD!!!

Our computers predict that a week from now, CSD will be at 288, and I will be at 55, but in the mean time it's at least close, right guys?




As for the updates for predictions, Dando52 has taken a 1 karma lead over Krotomo(18-17), Jebby is now leading Yaya(13-12), and unsurprisingly, Livio's karma has dropped(23), and Isa's has risen(23)!

Quirvy's prediction is coming true: but the karma numbers won't really be exactly exact now.

Lol, the reason Quirvy is up there at all is because he got +10 Karma from the HatPC Quiz that Krotomo held. Without that, he'd be in third.

Also, Harumbai is now in 9th place, with 15 Karma!

+7, actually. Even without that 7 karma, I'd be in second place, only trailing by 4.

Huh. I thought someone said +10. Ah well.

Dando estimated it in the staff forum, just as a general guess. She said something like, "I'll let you keep the 10 karma you gained from the hatpc quiz"

I should have gotten +8, but kroto never rewarded me for my last correct answer, despite it being before the rule change. Oh well, not like I'm mad about it, because that would be a totally unfair way to gain karma. Right?

I was wondering about an addition to the Karma system for negative rates. I thought that maybe there should be a page so that if you rate someones post negative it then asks you to specify why and there could be a drop down list and an other option. You then would say why you thought it was a bad post and it could be both filed and sent as a PM to the user so that they firstly know which post it was and why this kind of post is not good to post and how they can fix it. This also may stop people giving negative karma for posts that they don't like the idea behind rather than it actually being a bad post and will get rid of clutter from people telling people why not to make posts like what they just have in the main forums.

The PM could read something like:

Your post ".........................." has been rated negatively because it was considered to be "............................." please refrain from making posts like this.......................

I think that the reason behind why some certain are negatively rated is pretty clear, and that whole process would be somewhat unnecessary. We don' have too many problems with opinion related -1ing.

Of course, we are planning on making a system where you can +1 or -1 a user, and give an explanation for why you have chosen to +1 or -1 that user. But it may be quite a while before that happens.

Well at least something that told you which posts of yours have had karma added and subtracted, I'm still trying to figure out what I got bad Karma for.

This one got you +2 at first but then a user -1'd it.
