If too many arrows are flying at once in a level, some of them may disappear.
How?
A maximum of 10 arrows can fly at the same time. So if another arrow crate gets destroyed when 10 arrows are already flying, one will disappear. Generally the first arrow shot will be the one to disappear, but it might be that another arrow will be the one to vanish. It is best to try it out.
When?
This glitch can only be excecuted in a space where many arrows can fly at the same time. So either the arrows need to have much room before impacting on anything, or multiple crates need to be destroyed at the same time. This is easiest done with dynamite.
Why?
A player can use this glitch to prevent an arrow from impacting on anything. Or if many arrows are shot in a short period of time, a player can abuse the fact that some of the arrows will vanish by standing further back.
An alternate use for this glitch the maker can use, is to fake the player out by having an arrow disappear right in front of them or in front of a crate.
Where?
Ckjr'sSlackin 4 uses this glitch. You could also try jellsprout'sPsych!, to see the disappearing arrow glitch be used to fake the player out.
Alternatively, you could use this cave code to try it out:
Code:

Who?
This glitch was first found by Livio in The Drill in July 2007.
"Generally the first arrow shot will be the one to disappear, but it might be that another arrow will be the one to vanish. It is best to try it out."
I believe it's always the first, but dynamite sometimes triggers stuff in the wrong order. If you trigger all the arrows manually, I believe you'll find that always the first one disappears. I haven't tested it out, though, so I don't know for sure.
I think you are correct on that. But I remember from Psych that dynamite could indeed mess stuff up. I'd rather say that it would be best for them to try it out than to put in wrong information.
"Generally the first arrow shot will be the one to disappear, but it might be that another arrow will be the one to vanish. It is best to try it out."
Yeah.. The first arrow shot out would be the first one to disappear, depends on the number of arrows simultaneously shot after the 10th arrow. eg. If 2 arrows after the 10th arrow is released. The first 2 arrows shot would disappear.
I was wondering if an arrow hits a crate at exactly when the 11th arrow is released. I think it would erase the crate without the crate affecting other crates. eg. A dynamite crate 'disappears' without destroying the other crates around it. Slackin 4 shows almost all about disappearing dynamite and arrows. There was one trick which i did by chance which shows what i'm saying in this paragraph. I wonder if anyone has time or is willing to explore this. If not, when i start to make caves in a few more months, i'll try it out.
And... you should have at least put slackin 4 as it contains almost everything stated in the disappearing dynamite and arrows.
Lol, I just read what Kro was originally referring to:
"This glitch was first found by Livio in The Drill in July 2007."
NOT. The Great fall is indeed the place where most of us would have first encountered this glitch. I'm willing to admit that the reason that I will not fix it myself is that I'm too lazy to do so. My rationalization is that I don't want to have to figure out what year that cave was released.
