Level Introduction

Interguild
The end of the tutorial. One final test of patience before the real game begins.

Click here for the level code of this level

At last, we have arrived at the final tutorial level! This one's the worst of the bunch. It's probably the worst level in the game. It's just SO BORING! You spend half the time just standing around doing nothing. Like the previous tutorial, this one's also about water, except now, the water is rising, and it's slowly filling up the cave until there's no air left!

Walkthrough

Just to the right of where you begin the level is a group of three treasures. After reading the first obligatory tutorial message, the first thing you should do it run over and pick those up. In just a second, a torrent of water will begin rushing into the area that you're currently residing in. Once it begins filling the area, you must wait until it fills high enough for you to reach the cliff to the right. While you're waiting, be sure not to fall asleep so that you can jump periodically and refresh your air supply. Per the usual, don't drown. Once the water has filled to a high enough level, jump out and continue along to the right. As you head to the right, you'll eventually be told to "Climb the ladder!", as if you had somewhere else to go. I guess they were trying to build the tension? Don't worry too much about the water catching up to you; you have plenty of time. Of course, you wouldn't want to just stand around and wait for it to drown you, or something, but as long as you keep moving, it's not really going to post any kind of threat.

So anyway, you should probably climb that ladder. Just a little to the left of the top of that ladder is a wide pit that is entirely filled with spikes. One thing you should probably not do is to try and jump across it. Once again, you must wait for the water to catch up to you. If you're worried you might fall asleep, I suggest "To Kill A Mocking Bird". Great book. Once the water has mostly filled the chasm, swim across, and climb to the top of another ladder. Once you reach the top, it's time to head back to the right. This time, you'll need to crawl, and there'll be a few wooden crates along the way to slow you down. Just, break through those, and keep going to the right. Just a little past those wooden crates, you'll be treated to the games most annoying tutorial message:

OHMIGOSH OHMIGOSH OHMIGOSH!!!

What, really? I hate having to sit through these tutorial messages every time I want to play through this game. It'd be nice if there were an option to turn them off, but unfortunately, there's not. Now, as much as I hate sitting through them, I'm willing to put up with them on the grounds that they're actually useful to new players who'll just now be learning the basics. Too bad this message is helpful to no one. Thankfully, there are only a couple more of them left. Anyway, just up ahead is another three treasures for you to collect. Keep heading to the right, where'll you go down into a small chasm, climb back out, and then pick up another three treasures.

Once you get as far right as you can go, you'll come across a hole that you can fall down into. DON'T fall into it. Of course, the tutorial message would have told you this, had you read it, but the last few have been so helpful that I bet you've been skipping past them without really even reading what they have to say. If you press and hold down, you'll see that there are spikes down there, waiting to impale themselves on you. So, once again, you'll have to wait for the water to fill. If you happen to be a medium-fast reader, "Mocking Bird" has probably run out of pages. In that case, you can always try watching "The Wizard of Oz" with "Dark Side of the Moon" playing in the background, to see if they really do sync up. Once the water has filled to a sufficient height, drop down into the now-water-filled spike-pit, and continue by jumping out and heading back to the left.

Interguild
You must wait for the pit to fill before you may continue. Just go read a book or something to kill some time.

Fall down the hole to the left, where you'll encounter the level's final area. On some platforms in this area, you'll find the level's last few treasures, which you should collect, and just a little farther to the right, you'll find the level's exit, which you should enter. If you were to send score right now, you'd earn a whopping 696np, just for playing the tutorial levels! I told you it was worth it! Next up, the real game begins, so I hope you're ready!

So you'd like to know how to get the gem on this level? You and me both. Now, I know at the end of the game (SPOILER!) it says there's a gem on every level, but, as far as anybody can tell, this particular level doesn't actually have one. This was actually confirmed by Neopets in a Neopian Times editorial:

The Neopian Times editorial said:
I was wondering, I have finished hannah and the Pirate caves and found all the secret areas except in tutorial 6 and I didn't find the gem there. So my question is... Where is the gem in tutorial 6? ~fester_lover
Congratulations for finding your way through all those treacherous caves! Tutorial level 6 is in fact the only level where there is no gem to find, so give yourself a pat on the back for finding them all!
I guess they forgot? It's too bad, though, 'cause now we'll never find out what the game says to you if you do happen to finish the game with all the gems.

69630? I'm not familiar with that number. csd, where is our table? are you sure this is correct?

edit: the number that comes to my head when i think 'score for tutorial' is 69720. perhaps this calc didn't include the three platforms on tut 3?

"Someday soon I'm gonna have to recheck the math on the table again, 'cause I noticed a place where it was off just when I was adding this in."

I say that underneath the last repost of -the almighty table- on that page. Feel free to look it over. Watch the videos to make sure the in-level points are correct, and verify the number of treasures, hearts, and gems. Then, make sure all the numbers were added together properly. Fun, right? I would doubt that that number is incorrect, but it's certainly possible.
