Good cave, I don't beleive any cave out there does truly deserve a 10, though.

EDIT: Yes, my rate is quite high, but I won't lower it due to it mesing up the average.

Great cave. Good layout, good traps, and good placement of gem.

Apparently, there's two water taps competitions.

This was reasonably enjoyable except for the second water part with the close spikes.
I don't think it was any better than an 8, though.

woah, what's up with these high rates? judging by the look of the cave, it seems quite simple, perhaps one or two good traps that caught my eye...don't see how this deserves such high rating. someone should upload this for me..

It is a fun level and that's good enough for me. I'm a big fan of Ona's caving style.

I beat the cave in 1 try,  very quickly, discovered that it's a tad cheatable. overall, this cave had uh, 2 traps and one small easy puzzle? sorry to disappoint here, but i really can't see ANY reason for a 9, a 9.5 and definitely not 10. I'd give it a 5.

am i missing something? I assumed the gem and heart aren't really supposed to be taken...am i wrong?

Honestly I agree. But I didn't want to look like the bad guy.

The reason why it has such a high rating is because of it's player friendly-ness. 9.5 is probably too high, though, due to it's very small size, but from what I recall, this level does have the right idea in terms of what traps should be like, but its been a long time since I've played it.

And all these other caves of the same size don't?
When I played it yesterday I didn't find much of a difference from it and about EVERY other level. There's absolutely nothing unique about it. It doesn't deserve these high rates in my opinion.

GF, you really shouldn't be afraid of being the bad guy. we can't have a community with levels that are rated supremely because people want to be nice to others.. giving a low rating is not at all bad, if you specify why.

in my opinion, this level is at a cotw level, which is very bad. the timing of the traps is way behind, the puzzle is very easy, it's just an adventure cave - just like one of the main levels of the game... the only way I can think about that can really kill you is if you push the boulder to the right, blocking the secret area to the gold, before taking it. and why would you push that boulder anyway...

the water tap crate area can also be reached simply by jumping there, too... nope, no reason for this level to get anything more than 5.

btw, taking a look at the other entries of that comp. i have no idea why this won =\ both are better..

well it certainly shouldn't be that way. people should be allowed to rate levels by their honest opinion, high or low. just because someone doesn't agree with someone else doesn't mean they should be negatively rated. everyone has their own opinions. people giving opinions on levels also helps us improve our level design.

Lol, I was too afraid to slam it with this terrible rating too. FOr the same reasons as shos.

Side note: There were more than three entrants, but when we moved here from the old Interguild, only the top three levels were kept. Ask Livio why.

mainly because for the first 10 or so comps all that was ever recorded was the top three, and I guess I kept it like that for the ones we held on the forums just to maintain consistency. Plus I had to add all entrants manually so i wasn't very motivated to add them all for 20-30 comps.

By my type of cave I mean the type of cave I enjoy. I like caves that are more straightfoward and less puzzly, not what this cave is. Even though I did not enjoy it, though, I could see the amount of effort put into this level so
I rated it atleast around an 8.

I had a nice legit explanation to why I rated it so high, but IE went non-responsive and I lost that, so my best reason is back then, I rated levels differently; I was a slightly worse Hatpc player, and sometimes I just rated a level high if I saw other people were rating it high. But I wish not to change my rating due to it'll bring down the average rate even more.
