Description:
This is my Homestead in survival, where I live and do other things. It is still a WIP, and I plan to add several other things in the future, but I wanted to get it uploaded.

The entrance. Notice the leaf wall surrounding it.
Spoiler:

My original more "Modern" house. It doesn't really fit with the theme of the rest of the homestead, but it was my first house, so I'm keeping it.
Spoiler:

My second, more "mansion-y" house. This is my main house that I live in.

Fountain/Beacon. I wanted to have water flowing from a higher point up on it downwards, but apparently water blocks beacons, so I can't have nice things. I tried to make do.
Spoiler:

Watch tower. I'm still thinking of an interior design for this, but I'm probably going to go with some kind of enchanting room.
Spoiler:

Barn. The reason for the marbled wood types was to make it look faded/well used. Fun fact: I had to afk at Kros farm overnight to finish getting enough wheat to make the floor.

I really like this place.  The tower is very well done, and the barn is well done as well (though I prefer medium rare =P).  I also really like that fountain, but I wonder how you're going to expand the beacon, if you ever do.

I'm not going to rate it until there's a few more things in here, because there's still way too much room in your homestead, but keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments
I actually didn't think of expanding the beacon, but I'll deal with that when I get there. Any suggestions of other builds to add? I'm definitely going to add a farmhouse kind of thing, at least.

Well, some farms are a must, because while they don't have to be completely practical, something like a good looking wheat farm would go well with the theme.

Texture pack. Also, I was wondering, how do I download one?

Find one, download the zip file provided. Go to options, click on resource packs, click the open folder button in the bottom left. Drag zip file there. Click on texture pack. Click ok

Also if you don't have a good computer it's probably a good idea to get a texture pack no higher res than x32. Anything Higher will crash

Great place!  I personally think that the floor of the barn would look better if it were made of wood planks.  The watchtower is great.  I don't like the leaf wall, however.  Awesome place!

How fast does the windmill produce energy? And how much energy?

Great
The leaf wall is pretty cool, but you can still jump over it in a couple of spots.

I like the inside a lot, though. The mansion and all that look really good. Overall good fortress.

It's hard for me to judge this based on the pictures here since jorster used a texture pack that I think looks really weird, so I visited it in person. Jorster might not be good at following the rules or thinking about the consequences of his actions, but he is pretty good at designing stuff in minecraft.

The leaf wall is pretty awesome. I liked all of the exterior designs except the barn, I don't think that the faded look really worked well, it ended up just looking sort of strange. overall, I appreciate the fact that someone rather than making just a building made an entire homestead and actually worked on making the non-building areas look good. Lots of intricate details which I appreciate, like the hay floor and farm animals presumably just there for atmosphere.

The homestead isn't entirely lit up, though, and as a result mobs likely will spawn every once in a while inside of it at night.

This is really awesome. The designs of all of the buildings are great. The interior design was great in the barn, but it could have been better in the other buildings too. That being said, it could have also been much worse.

I'm amazed that I haven't rated this yet. It's a near perfect build, and the fact that it's in survival only makes it even better.
