Discuss books such as Angels and Demons, Pride and Prejudice, and the Fault in our Stars.

I've been meaning to read the Fault in our Stars for a while.

I've got the book. It was an okay read. Rather boring, since not much happens overall.
There's a Let's Read of FiOS out there, that I'm following at the moment (it's currently halfway through the book). It's an interesting read, as the LR person is picking up and bringing to light all sorts of underlying issues within the text, and getting very frustrated over it, which makes the LR also partially hilarious.
The most recent book I've read (to my rather unreliable recollection) is To Kill a Mockingbird, for a school assignment. A very good and insightful read, if a bit slow in the first half. | | shos |

Yes.
I just got the latest book of the Temeraire series. Underrated series, that. I also got the Warrior anthology, which contains stories from o.a. the ASOIAF, Sword of Truth, Discworld and Gunslinger universes.

have you read the fault in our stars?
Can you feel your heart burning?
Can you feel the struggle within?

harrison bergeron is honestly a more realistic, sympathetic and nuanced character than valentine michael smith
eta: Harrison Bergeron was published 4 months after stranger in a strange land so my official headcanon is that Kurt Vonnegut wrote it as a parody of that book even though they're not really that similar at all. Also don't read Heinlein lol (he sucks)

microserfs is an excellent novel, i highly recommend it for all two of you seattle-based programmers on the interguild (shows you how things were in the 90s) - i'm glad i didn't give up on coupland after the trainwreck that was 'girlfriend in a coma' (a.k.a. the adventures of the six biggest losers in vancouver) but what more can you expect from a novel named after a morrissey song. probably won't read any of his other books though except maybe jpod.
update: i cannot respect novels in which the first five pages are literally spam and the author manages to insert a metafictional reference to himself into the first actual sentence
