I'm not wholly sure why, but I'd kind of gotten the impression that you and Isa were 2 people who probably took the Interguild more seriously than it should have been taken, and I felt that it had a worse impact on you because Isa was that way through the golden years, while you were here and staff during the years of early Yimmy, the clique, and general inactivity.

ive always been the serious face that takes policy...seriously. it is fun for me though! i like adminstrative stuff, i dont like disruptive-for-no-reason stuff. ive moderated every community ive seriously joined and engaged myself in since i became a member of the interguild, with only one exception (mafiascum).
i smiled when you called me anti-fun

apart from my very early years and some bouts with neezles fighting (which i think you took just as seriously as me, quirvy, leading the ban league and all) ive never been harmed negatively by the interguild. ive been disappointed and disillusioned (hence not appearing for 6 months on here), but my attitude is all natural, not a reaction. id be proud to stay in your mind as the anti-fun voice of reason despite not doing anything related to moderating for the past year or so.

There were times when neezles really did bug me, but in a lot of ways I enjoyed it. Partly because I held the title for most neezle bans, partly because a lot of the neezles trolling was pretty amusing to witness. But there were definitely times where it annoyed me

I'm glad you approve of my performance as a staff member. What you said about Livio being easily influenced definitely used to apply to me as well, and probably still does.

If I could go back in time by 5 years or so and talk to my younger self, I would tell myself about the Interguild. I always feel a bit sad when people mention users that I've never seen online, or, in some cases, even heard of (I've only been a member since late 2012). I also regret not really contributing to the Interguild very much during my first year or so as a member.

Everyone is actually from Singapore. The Interguild is secretly a Singaporean underground resistance movement.

Holy crap I totally forgot about that wierd pi phase. I don't even really remember how it was a phase, I just distinctly remember you being somehow obsessed with pi.

Namedropping all of those old caves of mine made me look through some of them, and reminded me of how:
1. I didn't not properly test my caves in the olden days
2. I went through a brief period where I would remake some of my really old levels that were either uploader glitched or just terrible/impossible, into a form that was actually playable. I believe Soul of Death and Til Death do us Part were both examples of such caves.

The popularizer of purple okapis (seriously... why), and former owner of a white-man afro? I remember his long rambling posts
It's not like I planned for purple okapis to become an thing. I literally just came up with it as an example on the spot when writing this post. If I recall, then someone DID actually make it the title of the chatbox page for a bit, it stuck around as a running joke for a while, I convinced my IO team to name ourselves The Purple Okapis, and the rest is history.

Yes, sadly my afro is basically a thing of the past. Ironically, the end of my afro days seemed to be after I posted a picture of myself on the Interguild (no longer present). I always said I'd post another picture when the fro grew back, but it never returned quite the same. My hair is still fluffy, but takes longer to grow now, and after a certain extent just seems to grow denser in the volume it already occupies rather than expanding outward. 2007-2010 were peak afro years for me. Slightly off topic, but deleting the picture of myself that I posted on the IG is definitely one of the better decisions I've made on this site, all things considered.

I concede to my rambly posts. They were normal sized when I joined, but I even started to be bothered by it in 2014/2015. It felt like my posts were to large and I was posting too often compared to everyone else. In retrospect that may have played a role in me leaving the site. Attempting to post less might've turned to logging on the site less, which turned to not coming on period. Post-return though, I'm trying to embrace brevity.

Yeah I agree with you on that. Nobody will ever forget Jebby's past as a prematurely graying 16-year-old. Side note, I wonder if the same thing is going on with Julian Assange

This is probably too long. I apologize in advance. My thoughts are probably not as interesting as Quirvy's or HB's, but I guess I offer a different perspective as someone who's only been on the new IG. I just used Quirvy's template, removed a few people, and added a couple.

Like, he said he switched his ISP and even changed his legal name??? Timi also acted creepy towards Neezles, my actual little sister. I don't know if he was joking but he said he wanted to marry her and wake up in the same bed as her??? As I recall she was 8 at the time. Ew.
For the first part, I believe it was that he called his ISP to have them change his IP address. Definitely did not change his legal name.

As for what you say about what he said to neezles, I think I remember that (if it was on the new interguild), he was definitely joking/trolling. You knew neezles as a little kid, but:
1. She was a super troll/spammer on here
2. Her status as a super troll/spammer brought into question how old she actually was
c. She herself said some pretty crude stuff while spamming the forums

I would have +1'd Yaya's post had I actually seen it in time.

Since I was not on the old site, and the staff kept most of your new site antics under control, I’ve always had a secondary knowledge of Neezles/HB’s trolling efforts.
There wasn't really much on the old side with regards to Neezles. All I remember was that she one time spammed the random chat forum with a ton of stupid topics, including one that was particularly hilariously stupid/ironic. Something about how neezles hated babies or something? Maybe aych bee or someone else remembers it? I guess it is true that we kinda kept neezles' trolling efforts from being seen very much by the public, so I guess that's kinda sad.

BTW, we did actually appreciate the effort that went into trolling enough that at some point, we actually made a neezles quarantine forum, where we'd stick neezles' spam (as well as other general spam and topics that needed to be hidden from the public)

'Yaya on jellsprout' said:
Like CSD, he seemed to be essentially done with HATPC by the time I joined. I’m pretty sure I straight up asked him once why he still went on the site, lol. Maybe he himself had trouble answering that question after a certain point?
I don't think that one has to be firmly invested in HatPC to still go here. For quite a while, it was the actual forum that interested me more so than actually making and playing levels. Also RIP jellsprout, last seen Tuesday, August 9, 2016 12:56 pm. Although I feel like it's been even longer since he's said anything. He very well may have been interested by the whole HatPC reborn thing

[stuff about Dando]

I enjoyed most of the Dando thing. I won't go into great detail but I had an unbearably toxic relationship with my stepdad growing up and a much better one with my mom, so I always felt there was a stronger-than-average "mom" component to my personality, which I channeled here as Dando. I guess I found it sort of therapeutic. My stepdad was a very imposing person, like he was in the military and had been shot a few times, and he did his best to crush what might be considered more feminine qualities in me. So there was something liberating about my act here. Eventually I outgrew it and came clean. I no longer feel like I need excuses to act certain ways.

I think Sefro once accused [Thomas] of being a clinical sociopath, which I don't buy, not only because Sefro is not a licensed psychologist, but because it seems way too harsh. (and anyway if he were a licensed psych he'd know not to made diagnoses over the internet) I think Thomas was just fuelled by boredom and a general inclination to not take the internet too seriously

I accused him of having a narcissistic personality disorder, not of being a clinical sociopath. I agree that was a bit much though, and after I said that I wished I'd said he was being narcissistic rather than telling him he had a disorder. But he was really starting to get on my nerves. I strongly disagree that Thomas wasn't taking the internet seriously. I thought he was taking the site more seriously than anybody.

For example I feel most people would look at that poll where the staff has 196% approval or whatever and recognize that it's a silly joke, not earnestly point out the blatant corruption of the staff. I wasn't sure he was being serious about that stuff until I saw the dedication. He spent hours and hours spamming the forum and sending me obnoxious "**** you" PMs and scheming and talking about how upset he was making us, all while accusing us of taking the site too seriously. That whole thing was so stupid.

But I don't hate or even dislike Thomas really. I thought he was a mostly cool person for most of the time he was on the Interguild. I know what it's like to be a bit more intense than you know what to do with, and I also know he moved to some town he hates around the time that was happening, which was on top of standard angsty teen stuff, so I figured his little breakdown here was a sort of outlet for other frustrating things in his life. That doesn't make it okay but it makes it more understandable to me. I don't hold a grudge against him.

Anyway, I might make one of these impressions posts if I ever desperately need to procrastinate, which I might now that my coursework is picking up.

Wow, Sefro, I think I can speak for everyone that we had no idea you were going through all that. I'm glad you're in a better place now and you feel like you can be yourself. Tbh your opinion of Thomas is probably more accurate than mine, since we were kind of ~cohorts~ in that, even though I was never a part of the clique, we had a kind of common goal in causing HAVOC and MAYHEM on the interguild back then, and also with the geographical proximity, lol. So he never felt a need to act TOO antagonistic towards me.

Quirvy, that's basically how every social trend develops. Like, you know, with jeans. Since they were first worn by blue-collar workers who were obviously on the lowest rung of the social ladder, and then they were adopted by cool people like Fonzie and John Travolta, after which they became a status symbol.

Yes, I am the real HB, and I get that I was often conflated with Neezles. That was the intention.
