but that would create shockwave errors, innit so? 8 and 0 both create shockwave errors. and 2 is an enemy :O

I meant those as hexadecimal ASCII numbers.
'0' is #30, '2' is #32, '8' is #38.
#e2, #80, and #a0 are unrecognised, unprintable characters.

HatPC reads the row "028" as:
00110000 00110010 00111000 (#303238)
and separates them (as I have done with spaces), into blocks of 8 bits (binary digits) - 00110000 (#30), 00110010 (#32), and 00111000 (#38). It knows #32 ('2' is an enemy, so it renders it as one. The other two make Shockwave errors (weirdly).

On the other hand, the cross is UTF-8, and so is defined with 3 bytes instead of 1. HatPC reads the single cross character as:
11100010 10000000 10100000 (#e280a0)
and instead of reading it as a single character, separates it into blocks of 8 bits - 11100010 (#e2), 10000000 (#80), and 10100000 (#a0). These don't match to any of its valid objects, so it renders them as fake crates.

Make sense?

oh I understand. well, this would be a nice trick if we could use a single character and the uploader got it as three, since that way we could make caves up to three times bigger - we'd choose the specific symbols so that the uploader WOULD recognize it, and then it'll represent 3 objects with 1 character...

too bad this isn't possible

I found alot of levels that are praised even though they really shouldn't be. Why?

The whole point of the praise system is to only praise good levels.

They're probably decent caves. As long as they're decent, they should be praised. It's the caves like, "Bubbling Pit of Doom" that shouldn't get praised.

yeah it seems that there are a lot of people who come to our site secretly. Like alexander7190 who has ona's TheSpeedExhibits up, unless that account is owned by Ona, but I never heard of it...

Actually, I asked Quirvy more than a year ago if my RL friend (white_christmaseve) could upload one of his caves onto her account, and he gave his permission.

I'm gonna guess off of the top of my head that it was metal Meepit, because that's the only cave of mine that I remember someone else having on their account.
