Looked like more people were getting elbowed and kicked in the head than the average match. I've managed to not see a game thus far where a goal hasn't been scored until the end of the first half. I missed the beginning of Ghana vs. US. I don't have a standard for a particularly exciting game as of now.

Ghana vs US wasn't that exciting. Ghana dominated the entire match and it was through luck they didn't score more goals.

Maybe it's just because I don't follow the world cup, but I had thought that the designation of the "Group of Death" was more US-centric, meaning the group pretty much guarantees that the US won't advance because they have to play Germany and Portugal who were supposed to be really good, and Ghana who has a tendency to beat them a lot. If they really did mean it that that group was the toughest, I think that's a little silly and agree with Isa and Flash that England's group is probably the worst to have to play against in. But then again, I don't really know much about soccer/the world cup

Yeah, I agree. I always found that in terms of difficulty, Group D (England, etc.) > Group B (Holland, etc.) > Group G (Germany, etc.) > Group H (Belgium, etc.), with none of the other groups being anywhere close.
Uruguay is picking up steam now with Suarez no longer injured, so they're also a solid bet.
I think Netherlands, Uruguay and Germany are favourites right now, with Brazil, Italy and France being solid contestants. It really is a shame that so many great countries have been condensed into the same two groups, while some of the others have so few great teams. Group C especially is a joke, with none of them deserving that spot in the 8th finals.

I'd like to amend my previous post. Italy has obviously been eliminated and Uruguay has very probably lost Suarez, so neither of them have any chance of championship anymore.

On another note, still disappointed in Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Man, I was rooting for the Netherlands in the most recent game. It ended up as 2-4 for Argentina, damn.

i hope the final match is croatia vs. belgium. Sorry I just like it better when smaller countries win. i also hope that there shall be penalty kicks as that is the most riveting part of football.
