I would suggest starting an Interguild Team Fortress 2 (it's free to play on Steam) group, but it seems you need to pay monies to add friends. Shame. | | Livio |

My steam username is "Livio", but I haven't actually bought anything with my Steam account so I'm not allowed to have friends. On top of that, I really don't feel like buying any more games in a long while... | | jebby |

yeah but that still doesn't give you access. It won't count until I make a microtransaction from within TF2 | | FlashMarsh |

Halo Reach. That's the last game I played before going to Finland for vacation anyway, where I don't have my Xbox. Right now I'm texture hacking, if that counts as playing a game. | | Livio |

So I started Super Metroid. It's crazy how well Metroid Prime managed to pull of the jump from 2D to 3D. The designers on that team must have been geniuses.
I'm liking Super Metroid so far, but how and why did they manage to make wall jumping such an evil task that almost never works? | | Silver |

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time. I like that game - it was my first Final Fantasy as well. | | soccerboy13542 |

man, Super Metroid is pretty evil sometimes. After about every 15 minutes, I get hopelessly stuck again, so I have to check online walkthroughs and there's always some cleverly hidden secret somewhere. These kinds of secrets are perfect for hiding extras, but when you force the player to look for them just to advance the game, it just feels cheap and not fun.
But having said that, I still like Super Metroid a lot. It's really cool despite those faults.
So a few weeks ago I bought a new copy of GTA IV for like $15 but I never opened it yet b/c I was too busy playing other games like Super Metroid, Burnout Paradise, and Team Fortress 2. At last the time has come to install this epic game.
It took me forever to figure out how to make a Games For Windows LIVE account. Seriously, Microsoft? | | jellsprout |

For the first time since I have bought it I finally have the time to play my PS2. So tomorrow I'll start FFX.

That was the worst installation process I have ever endured through.
First I had to install all these old versions of basics like Direct X and .NET Framework. And I also had to install this thing called Rockstar Games Social Club Then I tried playing the game and I got stuck in a loop that went like this: Open Game --> Log in to Windows LIVE --> Download Updates for LIVE --> Install LIVE update --> restart the game --> go back to second step.
Seriously, why are they forcing me to log in just to play offline? So eventually I close everything and restart the computer, except now I got prompted that there was an update for GTA IV available, so I download that and it tells me that I no longer need Social Club to play GTA and that it will now be uninstalled. I was relieved b/c this sure fixed a lot of stuff. And I wasn't being forced to log into LIVE just to save my progress.
So now I finally get to enter into Liberty City and what do I see? Two guys walking in the air. Seriously, the graphics were set to the lowest possible graphical setting imaginable. This was just absurd. The game was failing to detect my computer specs correctly and it thought I had only 200MB of RAM. And so it simply would not allow me to change my settings to anything that would put stress on my poor, wimpy computer.
I eventually went on Rockstar's support site and found a way to force the game to think that I have certain specs. And then I went into the graphics settings and set it all to the max settings. Finally, I could see the boat that those two guys were standing on in the opening cut-scene. And yet, I couldn't but help shake the feeling that the graphics weren't as nice as they could've been. I dunno, maybe I'm just being picky. | | jellsprout |

That reminds me of the installation of Heroes of Might and Magic III.
"You need 256 MB RAM to play this game. You have 2 GB RAM. This is not enough. Are you sure you want to continue the installation?"
Edit: It turns out my copy of FFX is in Spanish. I can read 4 different languages, but Spanish is not one of them. Oh well, then I'll play Kingdom Hearts instead.

I think that looks similar to mine. Maybe it was the animations that made me feel like something was off.
Hey jell, maybe I can have that copy then. It'd be a great excuse to finally get a PS2 | | jellsprout |

It's PAL. You wouldn't be able to play it. Still, thanks to my knowledge of French and Latin I can still understand a decent part of it and the voice acting is still in English. I will try to trade it in for another used copy, but if that doesn't work it would be a great way to work on my Spanish.

I've been playing a mixture of Borderlands and MW2, lately. I decided that MW2 is better than BlOps, and I play Borderlands just to mix things up a little bit.

I agree with that 1st sentence infinitely. I've only played it at friends house, but can't shell out $30-50 for it. Is Borderlands sorta like Fallout (or at least that's what I've gathered from reading the back of the box at Target)? Right now I'm going on and off between dying multiple times in Little Big Planet and goofing around in Burnout Paradise.
COMING SOON: A giant meteor. Please.

Dude, you play games just like me! What you say you do is about what my PS3 life consists of.
I've never played Fallout, but I think so. It is a really great game, and is well done. One complaint I have i\s the ending battle it's WAY to easy; all I did was stand there and shoot, no joke.
