I always used to powermine granite when I wanted mining XP (and it made good money, but the price has probably tanked since then). I think I think when I was still playing, I was training mining a lot to try and get the requirement for Curse of Arrav (seriously, when I quit, I had only like 12 quests left to do), I think my level was 62. I wish you luck, you're already more motivated then me, cuz you're still playing the game, lol.

Sorry for the triple post, but this is an update thread. I will be trying to do some reasearch on the frequency of gems and random events on the way to 99 mining, so that should be interesting. Also: Answer the poll!

There's atleast 2-3 of them I think, double xp weekends, easier training methods and botting make it easy for some to reach high levels these days.

His name's Zezima. He's not #1 overall anymore, but I'm pretty sure he's still maxed out. I'm not even sure if he plays still, but he did actually come on like a month ago to complain about what the company was doing to the game.

I agree with him. all those stupid skills are definitely unnecessary. hunter? construction? how would a house help me in an mmorpg? not to mention that for free players the game is literally worth playing for about 2 days. once you complete Dragon Slayer(could be done with combat of less than 50) you're done with the game. except for the pvp, but even then, it has so many competitions now that it's jsut waste. back in my days, we would group, a team of 5-6 people with combar of 70+, with all runite, and go hunting the wilderness for anything that moved. demons were easy; level 100 wizards were hard. we were all skulled, and fought to the death. then we died and lost everything except for the rune plate(skill kept it) and we would all start gathering money again for the new set of runite..

Things have changed since then, lol. Runite is pretty much crap. Even on free worlds, people use dungeoneering equipment instead (a minigame they tried to pass off as a skill) of runite. I was never much for PKing simply because it felt repetitive and I was not good at it. It's not even worth it now, cuz of how definite every fight is (you can pretty much guess which person will win from the start of a confrontation) and tons of the players are jerks. I only go on for holiday events.

I just noticed (opened highsores lol) that dungeoneering has a cap of level 120? how's that? what's the exp needed from lvls 99-120? 13m-200?

what is dungeoneering then? how strong are the equipment made there? is Dragon still the best equip along with the granite Maul?

They said that they couldn't fit all of dungeoneerings content into only 99 levels. It's basically like other MMO dungeon mechanics. There's a massive area with like 60 floors. Each floor has random rooms full with random monsters, there is a certain path to follow, but there's extra areas you can go through. There's a boss at the end of every floor. The experience you get after every floor is depending on how much of the dungeon you completed and how many floors you've recently done. The equipment you can win from dungeoneering has some of the highest stats in the game, F2P and Members.

If you still think Dragon and the G-maul are the best, then you probably don't know about the God Wars dungeon either, that pretty much made dragon equipment obsolete, and that was released probably 3-4 years ago.

138? which new skill counts for combat?..
and yeah I have no idea what God wars is. so which items are better than these nowadays? and does this mean F2P can only be awsome melee fighters? cuz with mages and rangers you can't hold some of the best stuff, for example, rune arrows, blood runes, etc..

Mage essentially sucks on both members and F2P. They've tried to balance it out with very little effort put in, usually to be rendered useless by another melee update. Range has gotten a little better in the recent years, but melee still remains the obvious choice, due to it's constant updates and one-time purchases. "you can't hold the best stuff" is the truth, lol. Summoning factors into your combat now, you can basically summon creatures to aid you in combat or skilling. It's a members only combat skill, so F2P still only go to 126. The best equipment nowadays (keep in mind, I'm still extremely out of the loop), is various dungeoneering equipment, God-items (from the Godwars dungeon, and a few odd rewards from certain quests. Dragon and rune are pretty much diddley squat to a player now.

I got 99 fishing spring break of 7th grade after a few months. One of my friends got 99 cooking a few days before me and it only took him a month. Fishing got me at least 70m though, which is good. I promised some guy I'd get 99 slayer by the end of 8th grade, but I quit last summer, so I dunno how that'll go, lol. My slayer is like 78 or something now. After that I'll do a blowoff skill like firemaking.

Btw I'm Tyangel.

holy crap guys, you are serious grinders

when I played, I was like, in the 5th grade or so, and I thought that a waste of time was getting 40-60 in mining. that was my highest skill, together with Strength, which was around 57 or so, i think.

Lol. Almost every player will say at mid levels ranged is outrageously overpowered. As for magic, the mages need to be a bit more sensible, ie. Perhaps BINDING the enemy?

Lol.
Cutt down tree ---> make headless arrows.
Cut down tree --->make more headless arrows.
And then when I get around 2500 I sell them at the GE.
