Because you can't cross the screen? I don't think it's really that hard, but you could just cheat your way past if your really want to, I don't mind.

I'm beginning to think that maybe I went down into the cave too early? Or maybe you just made the first umbrella jump too evil.

By the way, I liked the screen where you get the long-jump power up. It was a fun, and that fun-ness was reinforced by the colors of that screen. And it was a bit challenging, but the perfect level of challenge for the beginning. Although that screen doesn't feel like it belongs next to the dark cave screen to the left of it. Maybe there should've been a better transition.

Speaking of the dark cave screen, I didn't like the next screen on the left. I liked the house and the message that came from it, but the colors on that screen were just ugly and incongruous together. And there was an evil jump that took me too many tries to master, adding more to the unpleasantness of that screen.

I thought the colours looked fine, but if your going to go all fashion police on me then I'm sure you know what you're talking about .

I take it you are on the screen with the umbrella?

Maybe the reason I didn't like that screen was because you mixed white + texture with dark purple + no texture. It didn't make a lot of sense and I almost didn't notice one platform because I thought it was in the background.

And yeah, I die literally right when I get the umbrella.

EDIT: I finally did it! I passed that screen...

OK, I got the double-jump and invisible power-ups, but I'm confused to where to go now. Hints, please?

Forgot to rate it.

Really liked the design, and the challenge of it, though the transitions were a little sudden, with all the sudden changes in the graphics, such as the dark cave to the colorful land right of it. The concept was basic, but the ending managed to pull a heartstring or two.

Just beat it, and without any spoilers.

It was a little short, but that's forgiven because you actually took the time to enter the comp.

I liked the idea of backtracking, but what I was really doing was going through a cycle over and over again until I beat the level. That wasn't very interesting, unless it was meant to symbolize the main character's spiraling into madness, leading up to the final screen.

The ending was cool, not only because of the funky colors but also because of the screen before it with the weird play on perspective. Or maybe I'm interpreting it wrong and you were really aiming to create some kind of 3D layering effect.

You can interpret it however you like...

I think people kind of misunderstood the point of this level which wasn't really to provide an amazing adventure or gameplay but to be about looking at all of the screens and the constantly changing tilesets were meant to be a feature of the level, not a flaw. I felt I have already done the whole sticking with one tileset thing quite a lot and for 20 screens/ a small number of screens you could stick with one tileset but I felt that it would get a bit tired unless you changed, so why not change every screen. Also I tried to combine the tilesets unusually and in ways they hadn't been done before.

Part of it was also how well each of the scene fitted the music (which I wrote) and I think they are all quite pretty which fits the style of the music.

Great
I beat this pretty quickly, though I realize it wasn't intended to be difficult.

At first, I wondered why you had such a sudden tileset change for each screen, but then I realized that it was a small level and it was more or less needed.

The tileset in one of the screens made it initially difficult to grasp what was terrain and what was not (I think it's the top-right one, can't remember). I learned quickly though.

The story wasn't as emotional as I thought it'd be...it seemed pretty out of place, to be honest.

Overall, a neat work, but not more than that.

PEdit: Oh yeah, the music was a nice touch. Good work on that! *score raised*

The music didn't loop for me for some reason. So most of this level was played in silence. That just tells you how long I spent playing it...

Are you loading the .exe? Are you going to Install Level and putting in Harumbai's level? And then are you going to Play and seeing Harumbai's level in the list?

Considering that I guess I really did rate it a bit low--Wait, you wrote the music? I must raise my rate now.
