Quoting Livio directly:
"I think this version of dynmap just stinks. Not quite ready for 1.9
when I reload the server it works fine for like two mins, and then it just stops responding"
Is the server still active? I wouldn't mind popping on occasionally when I have time to kill. It says I have an outdated client, so I guess I'll have to fix that somehow
Also according to a PM Soccerboy sent me long ago, I apparently went on the Interserver like a month after I stopped going on the site last year. I have no memory of this and what motivations were behind it, but it may have been as simple as I had a podcast to listen to and needed something to do while listening to it, and I hadn't yet realized I wouldn't be coming back to the IG for a long time.

It's not too active these days. I feel like maybe we should try to arrange a common time for people to come online. Now that I'm out of college and working full time, it's much more difficult for me to come online during the week when other people come on.

I go on every now and then, although I rarely see anyone else on. The time-zone difference would make it hard to have a common time to go on the server though.

I don't exactly have the time to play Minecraft every day anymore, but I can probably come on the server on the weekends - Saturday evening should work.

As a kid I always thought tennisballs looked delicious and I liked biting them. I still remember the feel of the fuzz on my teeth and tongue.
Below is me in creative spawn with Rendering Distance set to 9 chunks. It works fine if I set it to 7 chunks, but it was set to 9 chunks when I logged on, so I assume it was fine back when I used to play. It was doing the same on survival, but I was worried I'd get killed in the confusion. I can live with 7 chunks, but it's annoying. 8 chunks has the same problem as the gif, but less severe. 9 chunks is unplayable. Anyone have any ideas?

Installed Optifine. 9 chunks is still bonkers, but 8 chunks works fine now, and I think all the other various improvements/options that come with Optifine make up for it. I'll take it.

That massive graphical glitching seems to happen on AMD graphics cards when you increase the render distance above 8 and only lasts until you restart your game. So set the render distance to what you want and then restart the game. I used to get that bug ages ago, although I haven't seen it recently tbh.

Did it get re-griefed? I thought you de-griefed it?
No it still looks terrible and nothing like it did before. It didn't get re-griefed, it was just in such a mess that I'd have to rebuild the town to get it right

Expect a new level from me within the next ~2 years.
Two years? I think that's unlikely. I am still nowhere near completing the city I began in 2013 (or even the first building of it, for that matter). I also haven't completed any of the following:
-Another city I began slightly later in 2013
-A military base I began in 2013
-A bomb shelter I began in 2013
-A giant mansion that I started in 2013
-A secret(ish) underground tank factory that I began around 2013-2014
-A military base I began in 2014
-A military training center I started in 2014
-A calculator I began in 2014
-A secret underground lair I began in 2014
-A big castle I started in 2014
-A big canal I began in 2014
-A big industrial district for my first city that I began in 2014
-A house that I started in 2014 (I think)
-A giant warehouse that I started in 2015
-A shipping area for the industrial district of my first city that I began in 2015
-Another secret underground base that I began in 2015
-A big airport that I began in 2015 or 2016
-A bunch of iron and coal mines that I began around 2015 or 2016
-A temple that I started in 2016
And about a billion other things that I've probably forgotten about by now.

Hah, those are all of the things that I haven't ditched, I've just never finished them. If I included the things I abandoned in that list it would be ten times as long.
