Hi! Since I keep hearing about the revival of Hannah and the Pirate Caves, I figure that I should be able to revive Hannah and the Ice Caves.

I just need a little help with extracting the sprites, and basically anything else that makes the game, and, in time, there shall be a renewed Hannah and the Ice Caves.

I'd love to be able to play HATIC as easily as I can play HATPC Reborn. I'm sure it's a more complicated process than it seems, though, especially if you've never made a game before. This isn't my area of expertise, so I'm sure DroidFreak36 can help you out the most. Perhaps join the Discord too, if you'd like. Sorry I can't help more, hopefully someone else will come along and offer some more advice.

what is hanmin

A ship between Hannah and Armin. I'm far more supportive of Hanmin than Hanrik (Hannah and Kanrik).

Reasons:
- Armin is far more loyal to Hannah than Kanrik from the get go. What I mean is, he takes care of her without even getting to know her first, a strong contrast to Kanrik's act of betrayal.
- Armin tells the real story of his situation, while Kanrik tells Hannah a completely false story for the benefit of the Thieves Guild. To me, an act of betrayal and a completely false story, complete with initial failure to come clean with his involvement with the Thieves Guild, even though she found out indirectly, Kanrik has hardly any reliability to be Hannah's partner. I can imagine that not too many people would choose the person with so little integrity.
- Kanrik's act of betrayal was not helping Hannah when she was shouting, and sort of urging him to help her. Basically, leaving her for dead. In my eyes, an act like that is unforgivable, as if the same pair gets married and have children, I can only imagine how awkward it would be to tell the children about the betrayal.
- I can hardly imagine a simple "I'm sorry, Hannah." ever leading to a romantic relationship. Especially after Kanrik lied about the dying village, and only owning up about being with the Thieves Guild after a battle with Hannah and Armin.
- Kanrik is the leader of the Thieves Guild. Hannah hates thieves, and I can't imagine that Kanrik's image would improve in her eyes, due to the fact that he is the leader. If Kanrik really did love Hannah, I think that he would leave the Thieves Guild just to be with her.
- Even though Hannah did ask Kanrik to side with her and Armin to increase odds of victory, Hannah asked for Armin to help her with the Bringer of the Night. That shows me that she trusts Armin with her life more than Kanrik.

I'm a huge Hanmin shipper, though, I will understand if the majority of the players don't want it as an element in the game, or, if there's a want to make a separate game specifically for Hanmin shippers, so everyone can be satisfied.

Well, let's make a deal. If you can help me get a Tutorial on how to extract the resources from the original game, I will do the best I can to make a Hanrik version.

I'm not sure if such a tutorial exists, but I think DroidFreak might know how.

Well, I think that they're still a better pair than Hannah and Kanrik. It doesn't mean that Hannah and Armin should get married in a year, and have children a couple of years later, no. All it means is I support Hannah and Armin as a romantic pair, no matter how slow they go. Plus, in the timeline that I am writing the Hanmin Fan Fic stories, Armin is more like 10 years of age, where Hannah is like 15, so the age difference isn't that awkward. I just wish TheNeopetsTeam could have made Armin only a couple of years younger than Hannah, so it would feel a bit more natural. That's the only disappointing factor in the Hanmin ship.

You know, even those I accept Hannah as some weird squirrel creature, I've always seen her as more humanoid and thought of Armin as just a pet.

True, although the conversation is a little off topic. I only added the Poll to see if the Hanmin ship would be an imposition. I intended for the primary discussion to be about the game itself.

If I can make a new version of Hannah and the Ice Caves, there's going to be a few gems, if you pardon the pun. One of which is a custom soundtrack, which, by the time the final product is released, players can have their own soundtrack.

I'm still brainstorming for the game. Once I have something decent to distribute, I will send something, so you can test it.

Since I'm getting a laptop sometime this week, I should be able to put some more dev time into HATPCR and get it into beta soonâ„¢. At that point we could probably start making a HATIC remake on a forked version of the HATPCR engine, if you want to go that route.

Sounds like a neat plan! I'm probably going to have to conduct some polls for what sorts of things people will want.
