In this blog, I'll be posting links to some really amazing video game music that I've come across. Everyday [that I'm able to come online], I'll post a new song. Or if I miss enough days, I might post a mix of songs. So this is basically a creative and easy way to get me to come on more often.
And just for consistency, I'll post the first entry in this blog as a reply to this topic, so scroll down to see the first of many links.

Final Fantasy Gaiden 4 Warriors of Light has some very great music. A combination of 16 and 8 bit music that DOES REALLY WELL. The music is better than it sounds. Also, Sonic Adventure 2 - Supporting Me is great boss music. It's relaxing and peaceful (depends how you look at it) - though the lyrics always jerk me. | |

Speaking of Sonic Adventure: Epic theme for epic battle: Chaos 6 theme - Sonic Adventure (DX) Crush 42's best: Open Your Heart - Sonic Adventure (DX) Just here to show that the SA games have good songs outside the boss battles: White Forest theme - Sonic Adventure 2 (Battle) Not really that good mostly here for the comic value of Knuckles's raps: Pumpkin Hill theme - Sonic Adventure 2 (Battle) There simply are too many songs in the Sonic Adventure games to list here. The games themselves are also pretty good, so I recommend them to anyone. Speaking of Metroid Prime: Phendrana Drifts is one of Prime's most memorable themes, but when you anyone asks about Prime and music, there is really only one answer you can give: Meta Ridley's theme - Metroid Prime Metroid Prime had many great tracks, but they were all great as environmental music. They set the mood for the area, but don't distract. They are great tracks, but aren't that memorable. You can't really graps their brilliance outside the gameplay either. The Tallon Overworld theme isn't as good unless you step outside into the rain on an abandoned planet, ruined by unknown causes. Moving onto 16-bit music: A fun head nod to the 8-bit era. At least, until you reach 0:53: Pokey Means Business - Earthbound Back in the day, Sonic was actually one of the biggest video game franchises. And memorable games come memorable music: Flying Battery Zone Act 1: Sonic & Knuckles You can't say 16-bit music without saying Nobuo Uematsu: The Decisive Battle - Final Fantasy VI I could post Zelda or Mario music, but those songs get reused in every new game, so there isn't really a point to it. I didn't like theme Chaos 6 theme, but Open Your Heart is a great song. And yeah that's true about the Metroid Prime music. It's a shame that those who haven't played the game probably won't see its awesomeness. But I dunno, I never really like the Meta Ridley theme that much. How the hell did I forget Open Your Heart? Live and Learn (SA2) is good too. Don't forgot Reach for the Stars, Nega-Wisp Armor Phase 2 (DS), or Speak with Your Heart...
