Sorry it's a little late, but here are the results for last week's ended rounds:
RESULTS - IO 2010 - Swimming (HATPC Water Levels):
1st: Hydrodynamics (HATPC) - shos 2nd: CantStopTheFlow (HATPC) - Harumbai 3rd: Dropped (HATPC) - soccerboy13542 4th: Treasure in the Lake (HATPC) - krotomo 5th: Double Edged (HATPC) - Ckjr 6th: SpikyOcean (HATPC) - sinpokman 7th: The_Long_Dive (HATPC) - sup_mus
Man, Team GREATS dominated that category. This alone gave them enough points to surpass the KarmaBites, but that's of course not counting the next results yet.
RESULTS - IO 2010 - Hurdles (Platformer Games):
1st: GET TO DA CHOPPAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! (HATPC) - Yaya 2nd: OutOfReach (HATPC) - Harumbai 3rd: Adrenaline Rush (HATPC) - GF4 4th: Reverie (HATPC) - soccerboy13542 5th: Runaway (HATPC) - guyguyxtreme 6th: Hydrodynamics (HATPC) - shos 7th: Part 1: Super Adventure! (SMF) - krotomo 8th: Double Edged (HATPC) - Ckjr 9th: In The Sky IV (SMF) - rosabellis
One big win for each team, which has now put the three teams a one-point difference from each other, with Team GREATS still in the lead. Let's see how the next results change that...
RESULTS - IO 2010 Pentathlon Round 3 - Three Arrows:
1st: Threedom (HATPC) - Yaya 2nd: Advance and Retreat (HATPC) - GF4 3rd: OutsideReality (HATPC) - Harumbai 4th: Hydrodynamics (HATPC) - shos 5th: Dropped (HATPC) - soccerboy13542 6th: Flotsam (HATPC) - Ckjr 7th: 3 Arrows - 5 Minutes (HATPC) - canadianstickdeath
Yaya wins first place again! This puts the Ninja Koopas in the lead, one point ahead of Team GREATS. Meanwhile there is fierce competition between GF4 and Harumbai.
Current Team Rankings:
Here's a reminder of how team rankings are calculated: winning first place gives you three points, while second place gives you two points, and third place gives you one point.
Ninja Koopas: 13
Team GREATS: 12
KarmaBites: 11
These are really close. Note that these results still don't take into account the rounds that ended on Friday, but this should be even more motivation to try harder this week, since it's the last week of the IO.
Individual Rankings:
Yaya: 10
GF4: 6
Harumbai: 6
shos: 4
Livio: 3
imtimi: 3
Dekudude: 2
soccerboy13542: 1
krotomo: 1
everyone else: 0
And GF4 and Harumbai are tied!
Actually, lately I've been thinking that maybe we should calculate the individual rankings more fairly. Especially since there are so many people competing in these rankings, it would be better if you received points for making it into the top-five, rather than the top-three. So under this new idea, the current rankings would be:
Yaya: 19
GF4: 14
Harumbai: 14
shos: 10
Livio: 8
imtimi: 5
krotomo: 7
soccerboy13542: 6
Dekudude: 4
rosabellis: 1
Ckjr: 1
guyguyxtreme: 1
everyone else: 0
Whoa, GF4 and Harumbai are still tied! And this really didn't change things much, but at least more people are now in the rankings.
Current Pentathlon Standings:
Thanks CSD, for making this ridiculous standard for calculating the Pentathlon Standings:'canadianstickdeath' said: I don't know how the judges were planning on scoring the pentathlon standings, but this is how I'm gonna do it. You get 0-100 points per round that you enter, and the score you get is based on the % of competition beaten, rounded to the nearest point. Then that's totaled into your overall standings.
Yaya: 256
GF4: 200
shos: 155
Harumbai: 153
Livio: 131
imtimi: 100
Dekudude: 92
rosabellis: 83
ckjr: 75
soccerboy13542: 75
canadianstickdeath: 69
krotomo: 67
guyguyxtreme: 33
Teo_pl: 11
everyone else: 0
Shos and Harumbai are very close, and Ckjr and soccerboy are tied. Meanwhile, I find myself in 5th place, even though I thought I'd slide further down.
As for the next Medal Count, let's see if we can get it down by Tuesday. User Comments (17) | Livio |

Things are gonna be tough for the KarmaBites now that imtimi and Isa probably won't be active for the rest of the IO. On top of that CSD has been really failing lately by finishing his entries after the rounds have ended. And Bmwsu doesn't seem to be up to much either, leaving GF4 the only active guy on his team. But apparently D52 is helping you now?
Also, Yaya's really helping the Ninja Koopas lately, but he's not gonna be here this week either. Looks like I'll have to come out from obscurity and help my team go for the win... | | jazz |

Yeah, with all of that it's amazing that the KarmaBites are still in it.
Which is why instead of just trying to steal possible medal count points, any entries I make now will be added to the KarmaBites due to their lack of active members.

Did Ck just get lower ranks because no one could beat his caves?

Whether or not the player is able to beat a level is a vital design element that all level makers should take into account heavily when building their levels.
But I did rank Double Edged pretty high for the swimming category because I thought it was cool. | | canadianstickdeath |

Do these medal counts account for the fact that the KarmaBites -supposedly- never entered into the Swimming comp? That's why I made that piece of junk entry. I mean, just put it last, I don't care, but I don't want our team to be losing points, is all. Actually, can we just do away with forcing the teams to enter every round? It's just gonna result in more "5 Minutes" crap. | | shos |

"Actually, lately I've been thinking that maybe we should calculate the individual rankings more fairly."
If you're going to rank the top 5, you might as well do what I did with the pentathlon, I mean, if you want to be as "fair" as possible. Or we could (with both teams and with individuals) order like they do for countries in the actual Olympics, ordering only by gold medals, and using silver and bronze medals only to break ties?
Oh and Livio, you need to edit the results into Round 2's competition. | | Harumbai |

'canadianstickdeath' said: Do these medal counts account for the fact that the KarmaBites -supposedly- never entered into the Swimming comp? oh I forgot all about that. Hmm, we should probably get rid of the rule, though, since it's just another obstacle for the KarmaBites.

Actually, the pentathlon rankings are probably more fair than the individual rankings right now since they take take into account more than just the top-five places. | | shos |

Yes, team "water" dominated that category.
