HATIC will 10 years old later this year I think./crippling depression

I don't think I was the target audience to take the survey; they'll probably think mine was spam since I rated a lot of things low that I either a.) don't care about or b.) don't use anymore, but I tried to be honest.

But yeah, when I think of "old Games Room games", I think of HATPC, Raiders Of Maraqua, Mummy Maze (the best game that nobody remembers), and Neoquest, not HATIC. If they were to revisit HATIC, I think it'd be interesting to see them just make an official extended level pack of sorts like they do with RR, Super Stacker 2, or Crush The Castle. I have a feeling games like HATPC haven't gotten updated, because they're too old to be updated at this point. For HATIC, I don't see many new mechanics they can add. I did suggest to make another Neoquest-style RPG though, lol.

I guess its good to see they want to take a more active and involved approach to running the site at least as long as they follow through with the results. Definitely feels like they've been taking a hands off approach to running the site for I dunno, like... 7 YEARS?!?! Always seemed like their approach was 1. release something 2. let the dust and glitches settle 3. run away never look back!

PS: Is there a plot going on? Keep getting weird random events whenever I go to upload a cave.

All the new games they produce aren't very good so it can be expected that a HatIC II would be a lot similar to that other new one they made.

Yaya, did you know that Neopets was bought out by JumpStart? JumpStart was interested in Neopets' older audience and wanted to try to rebuild Neopets back to where it used to be.

Whaaaaaaat??? When did this happen, lol? My activity on NP has been at an all time low since the new year, I may have put in more effort if knew they were attempting to change. To you, has there been any noticeable change yet? I'll take your word for it since you're active on there, but if the buyout happened last year, when I still went on a couple times a week, I saw no difference.

Plot or no plot?

Yeah, if they get that Robot Duck guy to make HatIC2 it could be great, but if it's the Hannah and the Kreludor Caves team then I wouldn't have high hopes.

It was announced March 18th. Whether or not this is a plot or event is debatable. We're not currently far enough along to really know.

This is the puzzle, and today was actually the last day of five. I'm waiting to see what happens, if anything, tomorrow.

I don't think Robot Duck made HatIC one, so even though HatIC wasn't perfect, I still think it'd be cool. In the survey, I mentioned to them the flaws of HatKC, and hopefully they will read it and take it in to make a better HatIC, assuming they're actually going through with this.

Well hopefully there's no prize for doing every puzzle on the day it came out, just blazed through all five of them. Been doing puzzles like that for a long time. Good to know I haven't missed out on any of the potential change, I'll keep an eye out in the future.

This topic prompted me to check Neo again. Checked shop till and....

If you can suggest things how about suggesting that all the gems be possible to get this time.

It was originally. Suggest that they don't change water mechanics from how the creator made them.

Not to sound the like the pessimist, but I'm just expecting the game to suck.  That way I can be pleasantly surprised if it has any element of fun in it.

Also, I have ~9m NP.  There was once a day where I longed for that and now I laugh at that time.

Uhm...

I wouldn't really say that Interguild counts as one anymore, because it's diverged so much and a lot of us haven't touched Neopets in a long time.

I don't think we're a fan site, but our defining characteristic of the site is 100% dependent on Neopet's existence, so I would definitely say there's an association. As popular as MC is on the site, that's not what makes it different from the oodles of other online communities that play MC.

And the more pressing matter is can we even be a "fan" site, if we don't like the site itself, lol?

We're probably the biggest frenemy Neopets site.

We really like an aspect of the site and that aspect is what created this site in the first place. I consider that a fansite.
