your answer is correct; the fun part mathematically in this question (aka the one thing that makes it possible) is the option when you don't know if the coin is heavier or lighter than regular coins. that's a truly nice question imo  your riddle: you take 1 wood from the first, 2 from the second, 3 from the third, etc. then if it's the first, you'll get 540g;if it's the second, 530; etc. et voila a riddle. 100 smart fellows stand iin a line. each wears a hat with a number between 1 and 101, including, and all numbers are different. the last one can see all the hats in front of him; the first one can't see anything. each one guesses a number, between 101 and 1, starting from the last one - and they can't say the same number twice. can they plan it so, that at least 50 people will be able to shout their own number?  | |

Because nobody has posted in a while, I'll make a new one. 6 staff members each own an analogue clock, Livio set them all to the right time when the church clock chimes the hour. Sometime later they end up looking like this.  Each clock has its own peculiarity: Only Canadianstickdeath's clock shows the correct time. Since being set, Isa's clock has lost 2 hours and 5 minutes. Jellsprout's clock goes at exactly half the speed. Quirvy's clock doesn't work. Shos' clock gaines 10 minutes every hour. Sefro's clock goes backwards. Which clock shows the right time? | |

Because Jellsprout hasn't made the next puzzle, here's the next one. The Interguild has it's own currency now, there are 3 sorts of coins named The Livio, The Isa and the Sefro. They work like this: 1 Isa and 1 Livio is worth 5 Sefros. 2 Sefros and 1 Isa is worth 1 Livio. 1 Livio on it's own is worth 20 pounds. If you had 4 Isas and a Sefro, what's that worth in pounds? | |

Spoiler: Shos, Quirvy, Livio and Sefro are out at night partying. To get back, they need to go through a swampy area. It is dark and they only have one flashlight. The flashlight gives enough light for two of them to get through the swamp at the same time. The time it takes two people to cross is always the same as the time it would take the slowest of the two to cross by himself. Shos is a roided up super soldier and can cross the swamp in 1 minute. Sefro has a lot of experience getting through sticky situations and can get through the swamp in 2 minutes. Livio takes his time to first examine everything and can get through the swamp in 5 minutes. Quirvy is a big black guy who is always eating a cheeseburger bigger than Shos's biceps and takes 10 minutes to cross. All four of them need to make it across the swamp, but only two can cross at a time. Also, one person will always need to bring the flashlight back to the people left behind again. My Belgian post-office reserve account number has six digits all of which are different. The four digits of my bicycle padlock number are all different and don't include 4 or 7. The five digits in my fridge safe combination number add up to 34. If you reverse my shed number you get the answer to 1x2x3x4x5x6. | |
