then can i propose that we make a section for intense caving/ cavers that want a really tough challange? cos i miss those days, although i can make my caves epic and at the same time not too difficult to complete... and the two years dont make that much difference; im an original interguild member iv been making them for years haha

You can make intense caves, you just need to make sure that they aren't too hard, otherwise people won't manage to make progress, and they can't appreciate the awesomeness of the cave. Pretty much all you need to do is make the timing better for the player. Doesn't make the cave any less awesome, just less hard to beat.

It's not a rule; you can make your caves however you want. But if you make them too hard, don't expect people to like them.  

But people don't like too easy things either. But medium difficulty caves seem to be in peoples' favor nowadays.

And someday I WILL beat Midnight! Take that, Quirvy! Well, actually, not right now...

Seriously, though, Midnight is so easy compared to the other caves. You even have a walkthrough which shows you what to do. The little traps aren't hard, it's just figuring out what to do.

I never made extremely hard caves anyways, just hard ones at most
