I watch Arrow, which is excellent, Agents of SHIELD, which is becoming excellent, and Game of Thrones, which I find to be rather disappointing this season.
I also watch Doctor Who, but that is going to be while before new episodes come and I am still hoping for another Torchwood season.
I watched the first five seasons of Supernatural, but I didn't like it that much and I was told that it became far worse from season six, so I gave that up. Might be I'll pick that up again once I'm through my current list.
Furthermore, I have just finished Young Justice and am planning to watch Star Wars: The Clone Wars next on Netflix.

I'm watching Burn Notice, (I think it ended in 2013), I'm on season 5 right now. Great show if you're into the life of a covert operative.
I watched Supernatural all the way through; I liked the first three seasons and seasons 6-8. I guess seasons 4 and 5 were okay, but there wasn't enough demon-killing. A lot of the episodes in 4 and 5 were about Satan-Sam and the end of the world, which IMO got boring pretty quick.
I also started Breaking Bad because a bunch of my friends recommended it. Interesting show, when they're actually doing stuff, but there is a whole lot of staring and long silences.

What season of Breaking Bad are you in? I sort of see where you're coming from with the staring and silence, but I think it's only handled poorly with Skylar and it doesn't become an issue until the later seasons. The rest of it felt pretty natural and necessary to me. And while the plot events are important I think the show is definitely more about the characters. That feels really lame to say seriously.

If you want a show that abuses staring, then The Walking Dead is for you. Link contains language.

I'm about halfway through season 3 of Breaking Bad. There isn't that much nothingness happening, but it's enough to bug me. The scenes where Walt and Walt and Skyler are sitting at dinner eating and giving each other the stink eye are a little too common. I'm always a little impatient to see what will happen with Walt being Heisenberg (his dealings with Gus and such). IMO the plot moves a bit slowly at times.

I've watched a ton of anime in the past few months. I've watched Neon Genesis Evangelion, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Soul Eater, Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan, Another (fantastic mystery/horror anime btw, would definitely recommend), Black Rock Shooter (both the OVA and the anime series; I honestly couldn't pick which one of them is the better one), Kill la Kill, Kyoukai no Kanata/Beyond the Boundary (gorgeous looks, but otherwise terrible in pretty much every aspect, except for one character and her situation), FLCL, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (the awesomeness killed me two times over), and Akira (will read the manga some other time).

Outside of watching anime on the internet, though, I don't watch any TV, and have no current plans to.

Supernatural has a plot. It just has so much filler that a casual watcher probably won't realize it.
And scratch The Clone Wars, I'm watching Psych now instead. Though apparently Digimon Season 3 has now also been added to Netflix, so I might also start watching that.

Best anime I've seen in recent memory is Jojo's Bizarre Adventure 2012. Amaaaaaaaaazing. My fabulousness is no match. Then if I compare my fabulousness to the manga, it simply ceases to exist.

I watch a lot of American TV, but not much during the summer. I watched this French show on Netflix recently called The Returned. It's the only show I can think of that attempts to take the concept of the "zombie Jesus" joke seriously, really weird stuff.

So I finished watching a few other anime shows over the past month or so: Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Mawaru Penguindrum, and Akuma no Riddle.

PSG is... definitely something. It's got a cool art style, some nice concepts, and can be quite fun to watch, but the actual content is full of various kinds of dirty humor and mature themes, and the ending is an outright cop-out plot-wise, but otherwise completely hilarious. Not very work-safe and definitely not Yimmy-safe.

Penguindrum is a lot less obscene and more solid and interesting. While it also has some very dark and mature themes going on, it's a very enjoyable (if drenched in symbolism and at least one flashback per episode) watch, though I think some content could've been cut down/changed around to remove filler and for better pacing, and the ending was a bit confusing and had a few holes (though it was pretty satisfying and not completely bad).

There was also a mature scene spanning the end of episode 14 to the beginning of 15 that I think was handled very badly for such a sensitive subject (and a double standard too, since it's a female-centric scene, whereas other similar scenes in the anime that had male characters in them are treated better), which is a sore spot on the anime's quality. I won't get into much more detail on it than that, since it's both a spoiler and a sensitive subject. Otherwise: Penguindrum is pretty good.

Akuma no Riddle (lit. Devil's Riddle, but the official english translation is Riddle Story of Devil, which is a very stupid title) is currently an ongoing anime at this time of writing, but is a very interesting anime about a bunch of girl assassins in a school. It has a very interesting concept, plot and characters, but unfortunately suffers from said characters being flat (with terrible timing of character development, since the characters that get development are also usually the ones to be written off that same episode), and said story not being explored very in-depth and leaving a lot of questions. There are relationships between a few of the girls going on, but they also suffer from flatness and little development, so they're not very believable. It's a nice watch, but it's a rather disappointing anime. ANR also contains some dark/mature themes (this is a story about a bunch of assassins after all), but they don't get very explicit.

...That was a lot more than I was expecting to type out, but whatever. Writing opinions on things are fun. I should do that more often. (Perhaps I could write my views on some of the other anime I've mentioned above, but a few of those would require rewatching.)

PSG was alright. Too bad it'll never get a 2nd season.

Penguindrum is amazing. I thought it needed more episode instead of less, because there were too many characters/plotlines smashed into 26 episodes. If you liked it, you should watch Revolutionary Girl Utena. It's a 90's show made by the same guy, it deals with a lot of the same themes, and it's 39 instead of 26 episodes. It's in my top 3. The animation is sometimes terrible, though.

I uhh, avoided Akuma No Riddle like the plague, and from what I've heard, it sounds like I made the right decision.

Too late, I've already watched it. I should probably give it a rewatch sometime, though. That reminds me, I've yet to watch the Beginnings and Eternal compilations (and yet I've watched Rebellion twice so far), so I should really get on to that.

I've heard of it -- I'll check it out sometime. I've got a few other shows and movies to check out/watch though, so it might take a while.

Hannibal is really good. It can be a bit campy in places (there's a character who literally drinks the tears of children), but it has such a deliberate style to it that somehow it all works. It's about a criminal profiler who has a condition that lets him completely empathize with serial killers, and his relationship with his psychiatrist, a lonely cannibal psychopath who wants to be his friend. Season 1 is pretty good, season 2 is up there with Breaking Bad IMO, especially the last few episodes. Mads Mikkelsen is awesome.

It's been a while since I watched an anime. I tried to watch Elfen Lied a few months ago but I couldn't get into it. I hear Steins;Gate is good though. Elaborate time travel stories are usually pretty fun.

Omg, I'm catching up with Hannibal right now. I just watched the episode with the drinker of children tears. The cheese-factor really does get to me at times (Will and Hannibal's increasingly absurd and eloquent descriptions of the meanings behind murder victim scenes, theremin solos, the tear drinker's hair, extended visual metaphors, I could go on). The first season was really bothering me because it felt like a procedural masquerading as something more high-minded, but thankfully the 2nd season has gotten better at having more purely plot episodes and linking the occasional case of the week to what is actually happening in the main plot. I got two episodes left, I heard the finale is nuts.

I watched Elfen Lied 2 years ago and really liked it, I don't think my current self would agree. Steins;Gate is pretty good, at one point it becomes really obvious that it was based off of a dating simulator video game, but for the most part it's really engaging.

I didn't end up doing very much in the school holidays (typical), but I did end up watching another anime. Gatchaman Crowds, specifically. It's a really damn good anime: a thrilling, well-paced anime that focuses on optimism and teamwork, and it has a really addictive OP theme too. After all the cynical stuff I've been getting into lately, I really needed a pick-up, and Gatchaman Crowds certainly delivered! I ate it up over the course of two days (it's short, only 12 episodes, plus an extra director's cut version of episode 12 that clears up parts of the ending) and I would highly recommend it.

I ended up liking practically all of the characters; Hajime, Utsutsu and Rui would be the top three, though. I quite liked the villain, Berg-Katze, as well, but that's likely because I seem to have a thing for characters that are all about causing mayhem and despair for the fun of it.

Yeah, that show is great. I loved the visuals. I follow the director's works because he tends to bring visual innovation to every show he does, and I thought this was one of this best jobs (my favorite of his is www.google.com/search?q=mononoke+tv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=mbreU_f4B4GoyASZyIDABQ&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ&biw=1440&bih=775">Mononoke. Lots of crazy colors and pop art, and one of the few shows that has CG integration that I was satisfied with. I feel like normally I would hated all the characters, but there were written particularly well. It's also one of the few modern anime to actually integrate things like social media into their plots and backgrounds, as opposed to saying that the show takes place in modern day  but have it look like it's still in 2007-2008. Can't wait for the second season!

My torrent backlog on vacation led me to watch several shows featuring giant robots beating up things. No, I'm not really oversimplifying the matter.

Wasn't there a Gatchaman character in Tatsunoko vs Capcom?

And now that I'm here anyway, I'm currently watching Nikita. I like spy action shows, so this one is right up my alley. I'm currently up at season 3, and I'm already noticing it is getting less interesting.

I watched that show and found it very confusing. Why couldn't they have just gotten a fat middle-aged russian man to play Nikita Kruschev instead of going through the trouble of shaving an Asian woman's head, putting her in a fat suit and doing her makeup to make her look like a middle-aged man? I'm sure that would have saved a lot of production costs.

I've started rewatching Code Lyoko very recently. It's a very, very nostalgic ride. (And the opening theme is stuck in my head, goddamn.)

Season one is definitely rather repetitive, but still very entertaining. Some of the mistakes the characters make on Lyoko are a bit irritating to watch, but I suppose it's somewhat justified by the fact they're young teenagers and still developing on the decision-making parts. (Although I guess Aelita has no excuse, given she's supposed to be super-intelligent. Or does that one not apply to season one?)

I am watching Gotham which is flawless, Flash which is getting better every episode, Arrow which is amazing, and finally watching one of the best shows ever, trailing right behind The Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead.
