| The goal of the game is to conquer the entire map. This is done by taking over provinces using your resources. These provinces will in turn produce more resources for you. Ordinary land provinces and sea areas cost 5 resources to take over and produce one resource each. Capital zones, which are marked by a grey border cost 25 resources to take over and produce 5 resources each. However, if you are able to conquer an entire country as marked in the map, you will get an additional resource production for each zone. So if you have a country with 3 provinces and a capital, you will get 3 + 5 + 4 = 12 resources each turn instead of only 8. Only areas bordering areas you already own can be taken over. These areas don't need to border your zones in the beginning of the turn, though. If you have enough areas you can take over a new zone and then take over a second zone which doesn't border any of your original provinces, but does border the new zone you've just taken over. If you have resources remaining at the end of your turn, they get stored and carry over to the next. To take over an area, just take the most recently posted map and colour in the area you want to take. You don't need to declare war to take over another person's zones. If you have enough resources, you can just snatch them away. However, these zones will take more resources to take over. Player owned land provinces will take 10 resources to take over instead of 5 and capitals take 50 resources to take over instead of 25. Furthermore, if the entire country is owned they will again cost twice as much to take over, provinces taking 20 and capitals 100 resources to take over. If a player owns an entire country and you want to take over multiple zones from that country in the same turn, only one will cost double to take over. So if you want to take over two ordinary provinces, you will only have to pay 30 resources seeing how after the first one he doesn't own the entire country anymore. Player owned sea areas will always cost 20 resources to take over. This can not be raised in any way. There are no alliances in the game either. It is every nation for itself. But it is possible to trade with any other player. Both resources and zones can be traded. Resources take two turns to trade. If I have 10 resources remaining on turn 10, I can send it to another player. On turn 11 neither player has these resources, on turn 12 the resources arrive and the other player can immediately use them. Zones are traded immediately and the other player gains its resources the next turn. Every player starts with only a capital. If you want to join, simply pick any one capital city on the map that has not been claimed yet and claim it for yourself. If no more capitals are available, I'm afraid the game is full and you can't join anymore. If you're eliminated from the game, you can join anew if there is still a capital free. Aside from this capital, you don't start with anything. You have no initial resources or production other than the 5 resource production from your capital. If I attack you, I'll be going for Russia first. I can cripple your production there by just taking over a single area. Norway and Sweden are so tiny by comparison that it won't do that much to attack you there. I only need to take over 8 ocean squares to reach there, which can easily be done in a single turn. But all of that isn't for a few more turns. First I'm going to increase my production by taking over Spain and possibly also Portugal and North Africa. Then I'm planning to take over the ocean squares around my countries. Only after I have nowhere left to expand to, only then do I plan to go on the offensive. Spoiler: | |
