Hey, has anybody played Magicka? I heard from a friend it was good.

Yeah, I've got it. Single player is bad, multiplayer is good, multiplayer with friends is super awesome. The spell creation is what sets it apart. I actually didn't find the story funny, especially in comparison to stuff like Dungeons of Dredmor. | | Yaya |

IT HAS BEGUN! Have you guys bought anything cool yet? Have you already had to sell off your personal possessions? I'm on a budget and I don't play PC games very quickly, so I think I can safely limit myself to $30 hopefully.
I think my strategy for right now is to put everything I'm considering buying on my Wishlist, see if any of it pops up in the daily or flash sales during the course and buy them if so, and if not buy them before the sale ends. Of course, that'll only work if I keep my wishlist small.
I don't see myself buying many new or AAA titles because they'll be more expensive and I'd probably rather play them on a console, so I'll mostly be sticking to older and indie titles. And as I finished writing this post, I begin to think $30 may not be enough. I finally understand.

Lol, coming on for the first time in 6 days just to boast about your Steam funds
I can see how this will go though, I will continually increase the amount in "I think I can safely limit myself to X hopefully".

And I'll probably end up only using $5 of it all, because I hoard it wayyy too much.

I'd rather shop at the GoG summer sale. At least I can play most of those games on Linux.

My recommendation and the only game I've bought so far is Tower of Guns. It's a rogue-like Quake-style FPS. So much fun and so much silly randomness. Just had a run where I had collected enough random power-ups to octuple-jump (I think you can get even more jumps than that). Seriously, just buy it while it's still on sale because this one's a real gem. | | Yaya |

So how long do daily deals last? I was choosing between XCOM Enemy Unknown and The Witcher 2, and went with the Witcher 2, but all the daily deals from yesterday are still at the bottom of the front page with the same prices. Do "daily" deals actually go 48 hours?
Also, today's daily deals seem somewhat more disappointing in the sense that less things are under $10. And how can the Community's Choice poll cyberpunk category without including System Shock 2.

They go 48 hours because to make it fair because of timezones. | | Yaya |

Oh well.
Never mind.

The last day of the sale... The day where you inevitably facepalm at all the epic discounts you could have had if you had waited just a bit longer...
You liking ToG, Yaya? I assume you got it. | | Yaya |

No, I was going to buy it, but then there was a glitch that temporarily put it back up to full price, by the time they fixed the glitch, I didn't have enough money to throw around without carefully considering it.
I've got $10.35 left, so I figure I can buy one $5-6 game and then several smaller ones. I pretty much know which smaller ones to get, but I'm having trouble picking between Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines and Tower Of Guns for my larger purchase.
I've got to commend my patience for this sale. Really, almost all of what I was originally planning on buying wasn't put on any crazy sales until the final three days, and I never succumbed to the temptation.

I just bought a bunch of games. I don't desperately want any of them, but hey, the Steam Summer Sale is ending in 18 hours so what the hell! I ended up spending $66.93 (€49.05) in total.
I got Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands 2, Dishonored, Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, Far Cry, Far Cry 2, Garry's Mod, and VVVVVV.
According to Steam I can play all of them on my (crappy) computer, but I'll probably have to turn the graphics down a bit for the newer ones. Anyway, I hope I have fun with them all.

I don't think that I'll be buying anything else now, so here's the list of games that I bought:
• Skyrim: Legendary Edition
• Age of Empires II: HD (This game is the best)
• Goat Simulator
• Left 4 Dead 2
• PAYDAY 2
• Civilization V, including all DLCs
So six games, not bad. This'll hold me over for quite some time, so I'm happy. The biggest problem I'll have is downloading, due to our 150GB bandwidth which we have to divide between the six people on our internet... .-.
I do wish that I had waited for Skyrim, because I could have saved something like a good $8 I think had I waited, but whatever. Life will go on.. somehow...
