no I already suggested complicating the karma system like that in order to get everyone's karma higher, but it got rejected on the basis that it would defeat the original purpose of the karma system

I'm gonna have to say no to that too; we shouldn't be rewarding people with quality caves through karma. High ratings should be enough. Lets say that neezles, by some holy miracle, makes a really awesome fun cave, and everyone likes the cave, and she gains 20 karma from the level, despite there being only about 10 active interguild members. A ton of bad posts bumps her down to a karma of 10, though, but she still has a higher karma then some of the more deserving members, like krotomo. So to you.

the fact that you can give 5 karma doesn't mean you have to. you can still give 1 karma.

and each cave for its quality, can get 1 karma only, even if it has 1423452345 rates of 10.1

That makes it a little better, but I still don't like.

And no level can get a rating of 10.1, and we don't have anywhere close to that amount of members.

As CSD said, if there appears to be a lot of effort put into it, sure, go ahead. It's about effort(or lack of effort), not quality.

No autokarma, but yes normal addable karma. But that should be right up next to the description.

I'd have to put more effort to put it in the description, whereas if I put it near the bottom like in the articles, I can just include it the way I do with the forum topics.

You'll have to reformat the karma buttons to fit the very small lines in the chatbox.

I say, make it so that if you put your mouse over the date of a post, 2 little buttons and a number(the karma) show up, one for -1, one for +1

The other idea, the better one, is that you can send someone karma, along with a message explaining why you're adding or subtracting karma from their total count. The message will appear in that person's inbox, like private messages, warnings, and the message that is sent when your videos are approved or rejected. This would allow for you to give karma for chatbox posts, as you can quote their post in your message, and could be used for other purposes, as well. This is the choice you want to vote for!

Livio, is there any reason in particular why you moved stuff around in the topbar? Now every time I want to go to the galleries, I end up in the forum, because I'm used to the galleries being the final one. And why is the forum way at the end anyways? That's easily the most important part of the site.
